GF's flow characteristic for the 546 Pro, read from the datasheet chart. Kv100 at d63 is 3,100 l/min.
GF wing lever: a quarter turn, open along the pipeBall: its Ø50 bore turns with the leverFlow marks: they move at the speed of the waterClose the valve and the flow follows GF's published characteristic: a ball valve throttles little until the last third of its travel. Take it out and each union nut unscrews off the body's threaded spigot before the body lifts out radially; the end connectors stay cemented to the pipe, and you can turn the ball and watch its bore swing across the seat.

Butterfly valve Type 567

Isolation and throttling in a PVC-U cooling-water main, wafer pattern between flanges

Lever: 18 notches of 5° from closed to openDownstream spool: slides off on its roller standA wafer valve is clamped by the through-studs between two flange adaptors. The lever's latch drops into a notch every 5°, so the double-eccentric disc can be left part-open to throttle. Pull the studs and the downstream spool rolls away, leaving room for the open disc, which stands proud of the valve body (Q1).

Diaphragm valve Type 514

Throttling and shut-off in a PVC-U chemical-dosing or ultrapure-water line

Position indicator: rises with the strokeHandwheel, housing nut and bodyTurning the handwheel lifts the compressor and the diaphragm off the weir inside the body, and the indicator spindle rises out of the handwheel by the same stroke. GF gives the 514 a linear characteristic, so the readout scales Kv100 = 481 l/min (DN25) by the stroke. The body is dead-space free and drainable, and only the diaphragm touches the medium besides the body.
Size shownd32 / DN25, PVC-U, union ends with solvent-cement sockets (514 range d16–d63, DN10–DN50)

ELGEF Plus electrofusion coupler

Jointing PE100 water and gas mains in the trench, with a fusion control unit

ELGEF d110READY 200 s
Fusion indicators: rise when the melt has filled the jointPositioner clamps: hold both pipe ends still until the clamp-off timeThe heating wire in the coupler melts the bore of the coupler and the scraped skin of both pipes into one joint. The fusion data shown are GF's published values for the ELGEF Plus PE100 RT coupler at d110 (40 V, 200 s); for a standard coupler the control unit reads them from the coupler's barcode. Cooling times are the d75–d110 values from GF's PE catalogue.
